Cyber Security Conclave
SCSC has been conducting Cyber Security Conclave, an annual event, since 2015 and this annual event attracts participation from internationally reputed speakers and delegates across countries like Israel, HSD, Netherlands, USA etc. This is one of the most awaited events in Cyber Security Space in Hyderabad.
Cyber Safety Awards
To encourage companies to follow best practices in Cyber security area, there are annual surveys conducted, followed by a personal interviews of the senior people, best companies are decided and rewarded. To ensure that small companies don’t lose out, there are 2 categories of awards – one for large companies and one for the SMEs, Start ups.
Industry- Law enforcement
Works very closely with Cyberabad police Cyber Crimes cell and supports the police with industry support for handling critical cases and vice versa too.
SCSC plays an active role in identifying emerging threats,communicating the same and having interactive sessions to discuss the gravity of a threat, and mitigate doubts on threat perceptions. / (and clarifications to the best nearest conclusion). Shares any alerts which may affect the IT industry regarding any malware attacks, any major cyber attacks that took place around the world, remedial measures etc.
Has created a whatsapp group to share the knowledge among the Cyber Security IS professionals, in a faster method. This is very informal yet very effective for any quick response from the industry as well as from the police.
Invites Cyber Security professionals from world wide to conduct small capsule sessions by way of Thought Leadership sessions to IT Professionals to update them on cyber security industry updates. These are becoming very popular among the IS professionals.
SCSC is constantly evolving steps to educate common men, women & children to create awareness about importance of Cyber Safety. Equipped with a Women’s Forum where we educate and guide the susceptible segment of women and children on cyber offline threats in the form of educative sessions, talks and closed group communications. This allows us to take proactive steps to defend against these threats with an appropriate response.
While Phishing, rogue software and cyber crimes on the gullible common man is on the increase, we make constant attempts to reach out to the society trough continual and periodic educational campaigns creating awareness on types of cyber crimes and how one can be cautious in falling a victim to the traps laid out by cyber criminals. We believe that as a first step, awareness should be made the key factor in reducing victimization and that is being effectively done by us.
We have attended to more than 20 cases of cyber related crimes, counselled victims and assisted them towards filing complaints with the police and a legal solution to combat them. This is an ongoing process.

With the increasing digital footprint in every sphere of life, either of the enterprise or the end-user, the growing threat in the cyber space is a reality that is the concern of the entire society. Today, cybercrime is a threat many organizations are beginning to recognize as one of the key concerns for uninterrupted business. Thus comes the need for an efficient cyber security system.
While the society at large including the government, industry, academia alike are contributing to the acumen in contending with this menace and arriving at practical solutions, the Telangana government has been playing a key role in the practice and adherence of Cyber Security measures in the state.
This event is third in a row after 2 successful years as the Cyber Security Summit and this year we have introduced the Cyber Safety Adherence awards – where in the best organizations with best practices gets recognized and rewarded.
The state government has been an ardent promoter of a number of digital initiatives including improved connectivity, digital knowledge dissemination and digital wallet, all of which are key elements of the broader Digital Telangana focused on developing IT skills, digital literacy and e-governance services at the door step of every citizen. Given the cyber challenges that come with this Digital focus, the Society for Cyberabad Security Council has partnered with the Government of Telangana in adopting a number of initiatives under the Cyber Security Forum which include Thought Leadership & Awareness Sessions apart from the Annual Cyber Security Conclave. This year, SCSC would be holding the third edition of the Cyber Security Conclave which shall focus on various key facets of security awareness. The Cyber Security Conclave 3.0 will dwell deep into the practical aspects of the preventive measures, solutions thereof for incidents, adoption of newer technologies such as Block-Chain and Artificial Intelligence in cyber security along with some uses cases being shared by leading organisations. The packed agenda for the day would also include some interactive demos and simulations for a hands-on feel.
